Kearney County 4-H Scholarship
The Kearney County 4-H Council is accepting applications for the 2014 4-H Foundation Scholarship. A college scholarship of $400 will be awarded to a qualifying student, with one alternate receiving a $200 scholarship.
To be eligible for application, a student must be a graduating high school senior and must either live in Kearney County or be a 4-H member in Kearney County.
To apply for the Kearney County 4-H Foundation, complete the application form. Include 3 recommendations and a copy of your high school transcript. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Mail or bring to the UNL Extension Office in Kearney County at the courthouse, PO Box 31, Minden, 68959. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on April 15, 2014. Late applications will not be considered.
The Nebraska Association of County Extension Boards (NACEB) will offer two scholarships for the 2014-15 academic year. One $1000 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming student (freshman or transfer) enrolling in CASNR or CEHS at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a current student (sophomore or higher) enrolled in CASNR or CEHS. Application forms have been mailed to 4-H members who are seniors, but please let siblings or friends know of the award for upperclassmen.
